I caught swine flu (tm) at the convention! at my first furry convention ever! is that what PCD is? outch!

well, a lot of furs seem to have been contaminated and fell ill on monday or around.

the shamans decided I had swine flu... "they don't run tests anymore" and "don't want me in a waiting room".

great. still got tamiflu, but probably contaminated all my roommates!

 My appologies to you all who were watching me on picasa, due to a recent (bad) manipulation all content went unsync and I had no choice but to repost everything online again!

now with more tags and syncronised properly between my machines!

After taging lots pictures... several things became clear :

1. I hate how flickr handles tag and I'll have to some day write a script that syncs tags against upoaded pictures.
2. I probably got lots tags wrong

So... in light of those two things, please help me fix the tags! go to the picasa or flickr albums, make comments!

100s of tools to search, navigate, upload... one to sync, and none that sync tags across pictures!

I'm tired of flickr. if they have a perl API that allows reaging I'll stick around!

sncronysing it on a PC is hell ; most of the programs won't run because of libraries mismatch (dotnet restrictions won't let me use windows 7 or linux)

I'm tired of this, so I'll just put things on picassa for a month and then upload on flickr when all tags are set.

I'm right now an apple unhappy customer who used to look forward moving to the google phone because, most likely, it was an open source platform.

however, badness occurred with the cyanogen mod cease and desist.

yes, same blog ; if you don't know what cyanogen is, basically, it is a mod that runs much faster than the normal google phone os.

I've had, today, a 1 on 1 with my manager about what I want to achieve in this job, how I want to progress. It's company policy to do that and was quite interesting.

I think I'm going to go for web-related technologies such as databases, jboss and a few other things ^. .^

I hope to be able to bring something to our products, even some optimizations if possible!

lots to do, lots lots training and specializing to do! and books to read... maybe I'll open another blog to give out tech thoughts. probably on blogger... oh well, nothing's decided yet.

mmh, working on a weekend... not as bad as it seems, I can finally work on those tickets... and sort a bit more my spool!

Okay, I won't post a journal about the recent drama because that is not required!

resuming life, coding for sofurry... actually did a lot, all that remains is to debug & publish into the svn!

Basically putting things back together, private things will remain private but people who ask why may be answered.

on news, I'm working on a couple things:

• sofurry, where I intend to do a first update and then update the rest slowly
• getting things back into buisness with the windows machine
• opening a few auctions on ebay
• setting up the main machine to reencode videos
• more that I won't put in a journal!

first of all, I want to appologise to all whom with I roleplayed over this weekend and didn't answer fast... I was switching motherboard on the main computer, who's now back up!

Yes, Lorore is back! same CPU, same stuff as the previous one... I still plan to make some modifications later :

• bigger computer case, possibly with decorations (dragon ones, please!!!)
• updating the graphic card to graphic cards ^.+.^
• updating drive configuration to include a RAID5 over at least 3 SATA 1To drives.
• changing screen to bigger, better one

it would appear I developed insomnia over the last week... T.+.T can't do anything of value when I've not slept, I'll negociate taking a day off tomorrow... and set a reminder to close everything at 1am max... possibly account rules as I know I'll just keep using the computer then.

I must keep as much money as possible... I have 1 move and 1 con to gather money for!

Apple has not rejected the google voice application (!) but is still studying it (!!!), spending thus more than 5 months at it (!!!!!!!!!), even after a developper contacted apple to get it unlocked (!*10) and the reason is that "it may alter the interface".

all I have to say to that is that they do allow a lot of application that do changes to the interface, especially the emojii keyboards.

seriously, apple. there are some very wrong things in your answer :

1. you took more than 5 months to study the application. are you lacking personal? are you checking line per line? if so, what's the point? just contact the developpers to explain what the code does!
2. you did recognise you spent too much time studying it when you approved it.
3. it feels like you are going from one kind of answer to any other. the only answer expected from apple is "yes" or "no, because", not "maybe". we're sick of your "maybe"s.

I'm really going to change to a google phone later on for several reasons:

1. I want to code applications without having to pay for others to be able to use them.
2. Objective C is disgusting
3. I don't wanna spend like forever waiting for an approval, especially if I have paid for that.

besides I'm sick of O2's random network.

I'm gonna use a countdown application to count till the end of my O2 contract...

Last night the power went out in the whole house… this morning it was back, but she wouldn't turn on!

I'll try a couple things tonight, but I'm probably up for motherboard and power unit replacement. Can't afford to replace more…

It looks like power works though, as some USB devices get power.

I still look at those £99 I paid last year as stolen money... seeing how crappy the service was.

I'm just ever so glad I was able to sync the contacts to google and will only use google to store contact info now. the me account can rot in hell I don't even care for it. Thanks, SyncinaBlink! wonderfull application, ever so usefull!

now something more interesting : a few videos part of the famous 'googling' ; I called that the "google experience".
